Cell transfection refers to the technique of introducing exogenous molecules such as DNA, RNA, etc. into eukaryotic cells. With the continuous development of molecular biology and cell biology research, transfection has become a routine tool to study and control gene function in eukaryotic cells. It is used more and more widely in biological experiments such as studying gene function, regulating gene expression, mutation analysis and protein production. With the deepening of gene and protein function research, transfection has become a basic method often involved in laboratory work. Transfection can be roughly divided into three categories: physical mediation, chemical mediation and biological mediation. Electroporation, microinjection, and gene gun are examples of gene introduction into cells through physical methods; there are many chemically mediated methods, such as the classic calcium phosphate co-precipitation method, lipofection method, and various cationic substances mediated technology; biologically mediated methods, there are relatively primitive protoplast transfection, and various virus-mediated transfection techniques that are more common now.

An ideal cell transfection method should have the advantages of high transfection efficiency and low cytotoxicity. Virus-mediated transfection technology is currently the method with the highest transfection efficiency and has the advantage of low cytotoxicity. However, the preparation procedure of the virus transfection method is complicated, and it often has strong selectivity for cell types, so it is difficult to popularize in general laboratories. Other physically and chemically mediated transfection methods each have their advantages and disadvantages. Therefore, more excellent exclusive transfection kits for different types of cells are needed to complete the most efficient cell transfection. To this end, CD BioSciences has developed exclusive cell transfection kits for different types of cells, through the precise design and modification of delivery carriers, as well as advanced technology platforms, can help you solve:
The challenges you might meet:
- Common transfection reagents have low transfection efficiency
- The cytotoxicity of the transfection vector is high
- Transfection system with less load capacity
- Inability to efficiently transfect under serum-containing conditions
- High transfection efficiency of siRNA and plasmid DNA affects cell viability
- Transfected cells are not suitable for single cell analysis
- Some special cell types lack exclusive optimized transfection kits
- Etc…
