Description
The LS-174T epithelial cell line derived from a 58-year-old Caucasian female with colorectal adenocarcinoma. This cell line produces staggering amounts of carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA), in addition to expressing a litany of oncogenes, such as c-myc, N-myc, H-ras, N-ras, Myb, and fos. The LS 174T cell line contains the abundant microvilli and vacuoles, providing ample opportunity for researchers to investigate their impact on cancer pathology. Remarkably, while LS 174T cells are positive for mRNA expression, they exhibit a dearth of p53 antigen expression.
