Description
Pancreatic cancer is a deadly disease due to its resistance to radiation and chemotherapy. AR42J is a pancreatic cancer cell line that has been shown to be a suitable host for transfection. The AR42J cell line was established from pancreatic tissue of Wistar rats (Rattus norvegicus) with pancreatic tumors. This tumorigenic cell line exhibits an epithelial morphology and produces inducible amylase and other exocrine enzymes. It has receptors that promote the production of glucocorticoids and insulin. Preclinical research on new drugs using RNA interference is a well-known laboratory technique that can help researchers find relevant new treatments. To this end, CD BioSciences offers an AR42J transfection kit for pancreatic cancer cells that could improve the results of this study.
