Description
NCI-H292 is a type of lung cancer cell that was taken from a tumor in a male patient back in 1980. These cells are often used in research related to lung cancer and other lung diseases. Scientists use them to study how lung cancer forms and how treatments can work to stop it. NCI-H292 cells look a certain way and can grow in a dish with certain conditions. They produce certain substances that are usually found in the lungs. They are also used to test new drugs that could potentially fight lung cancer. CD BioSciences creates kits that scientists can use to study these cells in a lab.
