Description
Transfection Reagent for NCI-H460 Cells (Lung Carcinoma Cells, HTB-177)
Product Information
Description
NCI-H460 is a type of lung cancer cell line that was taken from a patient with a particular type of lung cancer called large cell lung carcinoma. These cells grow quickly and don't die as easily as normal cells do. This type of cancer cell has missing parts in two specific genes, TP53 and RB1, which are important in preventing cancer. Scientists use NCI-H460 cells to study different parts of lung cancer, like how it grows and spreads, why it's resistant to some drugs, and how new drugs might be able to treat it. CD BioSciences sells kits to help scientists transfer certain materials into the NCI-H460 cells.
