Description
Transfection Reagent for NCI-H441 Cells (Lung Adenocarcinoma Cells, HTB-174)
Product Information
Description
NCI-H441 is a lung cancer cell line derived from a lung adenocarcinoma patient. These cells are special because they produce large quantities of mucus proteins that are involved in the production of mucus in the lungs. When the genes of the NCI-H441 cells were changed, it affected how they grew and divided. Researchers often use these cells to study how lung cancer grows, spreads and how it becomes resistant to drugs and how to develop new treatments. In addition, NCI-H441 was used to study the role of mucin proteins and specific tumor suppressor proteins known as p53 and p16 in cancer development. CD BioSciences produces kits for efficient transfection of these cells.
