Description
SK-NAS is a cell line established from tissue of a pediatric patient with neuroblastoma. Scientists use the cell line to study the cancer and explore treatments that might work against it. SK-NAS cells grow rapidly and can be kept in the laboratory under normal conditions. They have certain markers similar to neuronal carcinomas. Researchers used SK-NAS cells to test drugs that could be used to treat neuroblastoma. They exhibit sensitivity to a variety of drugs commonly used to treat cancer, such as cisplatin, doxorubicin and etoposide. In addition, SK-NAS cells are also used to test novel therapies such as CAR-T cell therapy. To advance neuroblastoma research, CD BioSciences offers a product to help researchers study these cells.
