Description
Transfection Reagent for RD Cells (Muscle Rhabdomyosarcoma Cells, CCL-136)
Product Information
Description
RD (Rhabdomyosarcoma Derived) cell line is a type of human cancer cell that was taken from a person with a soft tissue cancer called embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma. This cancer comes from immature muscle cells. Scientists use RD cells to study rhabdomyosarcoma and test out new treatments. RD cells can turn into muscle cells in certain conditions and have certain markers that are found in rhabdomyosarcoma.
The RD cell line is useful for testing new cancer drugs before they're used on people. They can be affected by different viruses and look a certain way under a microscope. CD BioSciences makes transfection kits that can help scientists study these cells more easily.
