Description
The kidney cells of a human fetus' embryonic and tumorigenic stage were used to create the 293 cell line. This cell line could be helpful for evaluating the effectiveness of virucide because it expresses vitronectin receptors made up of the integrin beta-1 subunit and the vitronectin receptor alpha-v subunit. Additionally, this cell line functions well as a transfection host. 293 cell line is a hypotriploid human cell line that has epithelial morphology. Nearly 30% of cells have a chromosomal number of 64. This parent cell line is the ancestor of all other 293 varieties of cell lines. The features of the daughter cells are comparable in all of them. The 293 cell line, which was created from malignant fetal kidney tissue, serves as a trustworthy host for transfection experiments used in the study of cancer. For the 293 cell line, CD BioSciences offers transfection kits with low cytotoxicity.
