In vivo delivery kits are used to transport molecules such as DNA, RNA, proteins and peptides into eukaryotic cells. In vivo delivery agents impart an overall positive charge to DNA, RNA, and certain negatively charged proteins by forming complexes, thereby helping to overcome barriers caused by the negative charge of target molecules and cell membranes. This interaction is necessary to trigger the cellular uptake of the complex and its subsequent release from the vesicle into the cytoplasm.
