Description
The blood-brain barrier (BBB) is a natural protective barrier that restricts the transport of foreign substances (including drugs, nucleic acids and proteins, etc.) from the blood to the brain. But this sets up barriers for neurological research. Studies have shown that more than 98% of small molecules and 100% of macromolecular drugs are difficult to penetrate into the brain. To solve the above problems, CD BioSciences has developed specific brain-targeting nanocarriers, which can deliver negatively charged biomolecules (DNA, RNA, small proteins) into the mouse/rat brain. The Brain In Vivo Kit is capable of delivering nucleic acids into the central nervous system of small animals. The main barriers to gene and small protein delivery in the central nervous system are the inefficiencies of standard nonviral gene vectors and the limitations associated with the use of viral particles (which are time-consuming and require additional safety precautions). Unlike these methods, our Brain In Vivo Kit is a special non-viral formulation that safely, easily, and efficiently delivers nucleic acids and small proteins into the central nervous system of small animals. This reagent allows targeting of neuronal cells in specific brains following stereotaxic injection with low immunogenicity and rapid and long-term transgene expression.
