Description
The lungs are the main organ of the respiratory system in humans and most other animals. In mammals and most other vertebrates, the two lungs are located near the spine on either side of the heart. Their function in the respiratory system is to extract oxygen from the air and deliver it to the blood, and release carbon dioxide from the blood to the atmosphere. Lung tissue is affected by a variety of respiratory diseases, including pneumonia and lung cancer. Among them, lung cancer has attracted much attention due to its high morbidity and mortality. To aid in vivo lung disease research, CD BioSciences has developed the Lung Targeted Vector Delivery System (LTDS). LTDS refers to a delivery system that uses a carrier to selectively accumulate drugs in the lungs (disease lung tissue, cells), and ultimately achieve the purpose of improving curative effect and reducing adverse reactions. Through this delivery system, any drug with negatively charged molecules (proteins, si/shRNA, mRNA, pDNA) can deliver to the lungs of experimental animals.
