Description
5bp deletion
Target Information
Target Name SYT2
Gene Abbr. SYT2
Gene ID 127833
Full Name synaptotagmin 2
Alias CMS7, MYSPC, SytII
Species Human
Genomic Locus chr1:202603005
Transcript NM_177402
WT Expression Level 0.35 TPM (TPM = Transcripts per million; any value less than 3 is considered non-expressing)
Introduction This gene encodes a synaptic vesicle membrane protein. The encoded protein is thought to function as a calcium sensor in vesicular trafficking and exocytosis. Mutations in this gene are associated with myasthenic syndrome, presynaptic, congenital, with or without motor neuropathy. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
