Zearalenone is a RAL and F-2 mycotoxin produced by certain fusarium and gibberellins. It is a potent estrogen metabolite and a major toxin that causes sterility, miscarriage, or other breeding problems, especially in pigs. Zearalenone is found in many cereal crops around the world, such as corn, barley, oats, wheat, rice, sorghum, and bread.
