Description

VPS35(vacuolar protein Sorting Related Protein 35) plays a role in vesicular protein sorting. A component of membrane-associated reverse transcription complexes essential in retrograde kernal to Golgi transport. It also participated in the efficient sorting of seed storage proteins globulin 12S and albumin 2S. The VPS29-VPS26-VPS35 subcomplex may be involved in the recycling of specific cargo from the endosome to the plasma membrane. Arabidopsis has three VPS35 homologues, VPS35a, VPS35b, and VPS35c, of which VPS35b plays the most important role in these processes. Positioned in front cavitation chamber (PVC).
