Description

(6-4) Photolyase DNA; Involved in the repair of DNA damage caused by ultraviolet radiation. Catalytic photoreactivation of pyrimidine [6-4] photoproducts (6-4 products). Bind specifically to DNA containing 6-4 products and repair these damages in a visible-dependent manner. The cyclobutane pyrimidine dimer (CPD) does not need to be repaired.
