Description

Lectin (TL) is a tetramer protein consisting of four identical subunits that are not held together by disulfide bonds. TL is not blood group specific, but it does agglutinate type O red blood cells more easily than A or B cells. It has the carb specificity of n-acetylgalactosamine, galactose, and caramel and is eluted with fetal protein or thyroglobulin.
