Trace Plant Samples Protein Quantification Service

Traditional quantitative methods are used to analyze samples of tissue or a large number of cells and obtain homogenized results, but they are not suitable for trace samples. Trace plant samples (<5000 cells) include cells with low protein content in the fields of early plant development and immunology research. Studying the intracellular protein abundance of trace plant samples is of great significance for plant growth, metabolism, and resistance processes.

CD BioSciences has advanced instruments, offering SMID and CBA technologies for quantitative protein analysis of trace plant samples. We also help our clients gain a deeper understanding of rare sample proteins.

Quantification of trace plant samples protein based on SMID

The SMID is the most commonly used method for protein quantification in trace plant samples. This method can extract protein peptides in one step and utilize 4D-DIA holographic scanning technology to achieve in-depth detection of trace samples. Sample volumes can be as low as 100 cells or 5ul of liquid.

Procedure for protein quantification of trace samples using SMID. - CD BioSciences

Sample Type Sample Requirements
Plant suspension cells 100-10000 cells
Plant flow sorting cells 100-10000 cells
Plant tissue > 1mg

We suggest collecting the samples to be delivered in a low-adsorption centrifuge tube and freezing them for transportation at low temperatures.

Quantification of trace plant samples protein based on Cytometric Bead Array (CBA)

CBA is a flow-through protein quantification technique for trace samples, which can quantify soluble proteins. During cell signaling, this method quantifies phosphorylated and apoptosis-related proteins.
