SOC1 (Suppressor of constans overexpression 1) is a transcriptional activator regulating flowering time. Located in the nucleus and cytoplasm. It is widely expressed but not found in apical meristem of short day plants during vegetative period. Optional names :agamous - like 25,AGL25, FLC, FLF, flowering site C, flowering site F.
