Additional information

Antibodies have been purified by affinity chromatography on Protein G from tissue culture supernatant. Ricin detection limit is 5 ng/ml, signal to noise ratio is 15-50 up to 100 ng/ml As detection antibody in sandwich-type ELISA, antibody, AS09 649, which is recongnizing a complimentary epitope is recommended. Description

Ricin is a protein found in castor beans that acts as an inhibitor of protein synthesis. It's a toxin involved in plant defense. A single ricin chain can inactivate thousands of ribosomes per minute. Chain B facilitates the entry of chain A into the cell.
