Description

PTOX (plas plastid terminal oxidase) is a component of an electron transport chain responsible for desaturating plant alkenes, thereby preventing the production of reactive oxygen species. It is involved in the differentiation of plastids: chloroplasts, amylosomes and pathophytes. PTOX is generally expressed in plant tissues and is located in the lumen. Synonyms :IM, IM1, mutant, AOX4, replacement oxidase 4, panthenol oxidase 4, chloroplast/chromatin
