Specifically reacts with a 64 kDa polyphenol oxidase from chloroplast thylakoid lumen
Polyphenol oxidase is involved in plant response to injury and herbivore attack, mediated through the octadecane injury signaling pathway. Chloroplast polyphenol oxidase is a nuclear coding protein that targets the lumen of thylakoids. It has been found that polyphenol oxidase is one of the most phosphorylated proteins in the thylakoid cavity, but the role of this protein modification is unclear. Alias: catechol oxidase.
