This kit is used to extract total protein from various root tissue samples. It is suitable for various samples of underground stems, above-ground stems, stolons, bulbs, metamorphosed stems, and various fleshy roots and aerial roots.
This kit is not suitable for protein extraction from root/tuber samples with high starch content, such as potato and taro.
This kit contains a unique formula that can effectively dissolve cell membrane components and release soluble proteins. This kit contains a mixture of protease inhibitors that prevents the degradation of proteins by proteases, providing for the extraction of high purity proteins.

Protease inhibitors inhibit protein degradation and the protease inhibitor formulation is optimised. The Protease Inhibitor Blend contains six separate protease inhibitors, AEBSF, Aprotinin, Leupeptin, Pepstatin A, Bestatin, and E-64, each of which specifically inhibits one or more protease activities. The optimised composition of the mixture allows it to inhibit almost all essential protease activities, including serine proteases, cysteine proteases, aspartate proteases, alanyl-aminopeptidases and others.
