Plant Rhizome Protein Extraction Kit

This kit is used to extract total protein from various root tissue samples. It is suitable for various samples of underground stems, above-ground stems, stolons, bulbs, metamorphosed stems, and various fleshy roots and aerial roots.
This kit is not suitable for protein extraction from root/tuber samples with high starch content, such as potato and taro.
This kit contains a unique formula that can effectively dissolve cell membrane components and release soluble proteins. This kit contains a mixture of protease inhibitors that prevents the degradation of proteins by proteases, providing for the extraction of high purity proteins.
The proteins extracted in this kit can be used in downstream protein research experiments such as Western Blotting, protein electrophoresis, immunoprecipitation, ELISA, transcriptional activity analysis, Gel shift gel blocking assay, enzyme activity assay and so on.
The proteins extracted in this kit are active proteins with natural protein conformation, with a wide range of downstream applications. The ability of the extract to lyse the cells is mild, and the lysis time needs to be optimised according to the actual sample. This kit does not contain EDTA and is compatible with downstream applications such as metal chelation chromatography.
The protein samples extracted in this kit contain high salt concentration and cannot be used directly for 2D electrophoresis.

The extraction process is simple and convenient, reducing the time of protein extraction to 30 minutes to 1 hour.
Containing protein stabiliser, the extracted protein is stable.

Total protein extract contains a variety of active ingredients, which can fully release cytoplasmic, nuclear and membrane proteins, and also bind the released proteins to prevent precipitation.
Protease inhibitors inhibit protein degradation and the protease inhibitor formulation is optimised. The Protease Inhibitor Blend contains six separate protease inhibitors, AEBSF, Aprotinin, Leupeptin, Pepstatin A, Bestatin, and E-64, each of which specifically inhibits one or more protease activities. The optimised composition of the mixture allows it to inhibit almost all essential protease activities, including serine proteases, cysteine proteases, aspartate proteases, alanyl-aminopeptidases and others.
