Plant Protein Anti-Inflammatory Function Analysis Service

Inflammation is an adaptive response caused by conditions such as noxious stimuli, infection, and tissue damage. It causes protein denaturation, alteration of blood vessels, and membrane permeability. Conventional drugs usually produce negative side effects. Therefore, the mining of natural plant-derived substances with anti-inflammatory activity has become a hot topic. Studies have shown that plant-derived anti-inflammatory peptides (PAPs) can act as anti-inflammatory agents with immunomodulatory functions and participate in multiple metabolic pathways.

CD BioSciences is dedicated to discovering the medicinal functions of plant proteins and provides services for customers including PAPs preparation, in vitro anti-inflammatory activity assays, and action mechanism analysis.

Service Content

PAPs preparation service

We offer PAPs preparation services based on

  • Chemical hydrolysis
  • Microbial fermentation
  • Enzymatic hydrolysis

We can also separate and purify PAPs. We perform ultrafiltration depending on the size of the membrane, thus providing our customers with peptides of different molecular weights.

PAPs Identification service

We provide PAPs identification services based on LC-MS and ESI-MS. It helps our customers identify and analyze peptide sequences to reveal the link between structure and function.

In vitro anti-inflammatory activity assay service

We offer in vitro assays to evaluate the anti-inflammatory activity of PAPs, including

  • Hemolytic inhibition assay.
  • Protease inhibition assay.
  • Protein denaturation inhibition assay.
  • Lipoxygenase inhibition assay.

Analysis service of the anti-inflammatory mechanism on PAPs

  • PAPs regulate a single inflammatory signaling pathway and its inflammatory factors analysis.
  • MAPK pathway analysis

    NF-κB pathway analysis

  • PAPs regulate multiple inflammatory signaling pathways and their inflammatory factors analysis
  • PI3K/Akt pathway analysis.

Analysis service of factors affecting the anti-inflammatory properties of PAPs

  • Effect of molecular weight on anti-inflammatory properties of PAPs.
  • Effect of amino acid composition on anti-inflammatory activity of low molecular weight PAPs.
  • Hydrophobic amino acids

    Positively charged amino acids

Specific amino acids represented by glycine and glutamine

  • Effect of amino acid position in PAPs on anti-inflammatory properties.
  • Effect of enzyme type in enzyme treatment on the anti-inflammatory activity of PAPs.
  • Single enzyme digestion

    Complex enzyme digestion
