Application

This product is useful as a reversible competitive inhibitor of trypsin and other trypsin-like proteases such as chymotrypsin, plasmin and plasma kallikrein. SBTI binds free trypsin tighter with increasing pH from 4.5-8.0 that allows for a simple gradient to low pH (2.5-3.0) for elution. Can be reused.

Description

An animal free soybean trypsin inhibitor was purified from soybean by gel filtration, ion exchange and affinity chromatography, and then fixed on agarose carrier. This is a resin buffered in 0.1M Tris-HCl; 0.15m sodium chloride; 0.02% sodium azide; pH value 7.4
