Pine Nut Protein ELISA Kit

The Pine Nut Protein ELISA Kit is a microporous sandwich ELISA kit for quantification of low level pine nut residues in 96-well format foods, ingredients, clean-in-place (CIP) bleach agents, and environmental swabs. The amount of protein in a sample can be inferred from a standard curve, constructed from a standard of known concentration, and adjusted for sample dilution.

The target protein present in the sample reacts with a specific antibody, which is adsorbed on the surface of the polystyrene microdroplet hole. After the unbound proteins were washed away, horseradish peroxidase (HRP) -conjugated antibodies were added. This enzyme-labeled antibody forms a complex with a previously bound target protein. After the second step of washing, the enzyme bound to the immunoadsorbent is detected by adding the color developing substrate 3,3 ', 5,5 '-tetramethylbenzidine (TMB). The chromogenic effect of this enzymatic reaction is directly related to the concentration of the target protein in the tested sample. Thus, the absorbance at 450nm is a measure of the concentration of the target protein in the test sample.
