Description

MT1a (Metallothionein type1) is a low molecular mass protein rich in cysteine and has metal ion binding function. Metallothionein (MTs) is involved in many physiological processes, such as metal ion homeostasis, detoxification of excess metal and resistance to oxidative stress.
