MPK6(mitogen-activated protein kinase 6) is involved in oxidative stress-mediated signaling cascades, located downstream of the bacterial flagellin receptor FLS2 in the innate immune MAP kinase signaling cascades (MEKK1, MKK4/MKK5, and MPK3/MPK6). It is responsive to touch, injury, low temperature, low humidity, salt stress, hydrogen peroxide, ozone, ACC(ethylene precursor), jasmonic acid (JA), mastoid pigment and UVC. Activation response elicitors: oligogalacturonic ester, hexamichtin fragment, fungal xylanase, bacterial flagellin, and harpin. Synonymous :MAP kinase 6,AtMPK6.
