Description

The vesicle-inducing protein in VIPP1-plast 1, a hydrophilic protein, is present in the inner envelope and thylakoid membrane. In VIPP1 deletion mutants, vesicle formation is cancelled. VIPP1 is thought to be essential for the maintenance of thylakoids.
