Lhcb5 is one of three minor, highly conserved chlorophyll a/b binding proteins associated with photosystem II in plants and algae. As part of the internal light-harvesting antenna, it (along with Lhcb4 and Lhcb6) regulates the energy flow from the external LHCII antenna to the PSII reaction center.
