Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803 (gene: sll1626, protein: Sll1626)
Predicted reactivity
Cyanobacteria
Not reactive in
No confirmed exceptions from predicted reactivity are currently known

Additional information

Antibody can be used as a marker of cytoplasm but also, most likely, a marker for DNA localisation

Description

LexA (EC 3.4.21.88) is a DNA-binding protein associated with SOS response and other regulatory networks in cyanobacteria. It has been shown to directly regulate genes involved in carbon assimilation or controlled by carbon availability. In Polycystis PCC 6803, LexA is not located in the thylakoid membrane, but in the inner region of the cytoplasm
