Description

Jasmonate-amino synthetase; Jasmonic acid resistance 1) catalyzes the synthesis of jasmonate-amino acid conjugates by adenylation. In injury response, it plays an important role in the accumulation of JA-Ile locally and whole-body. Through SCF(COI)E3 ubiquitin protein ligase pathway, JAZ inhibitory protein degradation is stimulated through JA-ILE and JA response genes are promoted, especially in the distal end of injured plants. Involved in apoptosis-like programmed cell death (PCD) mediated by the mycotoxin fumonisin b1. Aliases: jasmonate-amino acid synthetase JAR1, protein far red insensitive 219, protein jasmonate-resistant 1
