Description

Heat shock protein 70 (Hsp70) is a major stress-inducing protein in vertebrates and has been highly conserved throughout evolution. It acts as a molecular chaperone and is important for allowing cells to respond to acute stressor damage, particularly those that affect protein mechanisms. Heat shock homologous protein 70 (HSC70) is a highly conserved protein that is a member of the chaperone family of proteins.
