Product Info

Immunogen
KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide derived from available PsbQ protein sequences including Arabidopsis thaliana At4g21280.  Peptide used to elicit this antibody is conserved in both isoforms, Arabidopsis thaliana PsbQ1 and PsbQ2.
Host
Rabbit
Clonality
Polyclonal

Description

The central component of the PSII reaction generates the REDOX potential required to drive the highly oxidizing water cracking reaction. Four Mn atoms exist on the surface of the lumen, forming the catalytic site of the water decomposition reaction, which is closely related to the 33 kDa (PsbO), 23 kDa (PsbP) and 17 kDa (PsbQ) exogenous subunits of OEC. A 33 kda foreign protein is also known as mn stable protein (MSP), but recent evidence suggests that it is the C-terminal domain of PsbA (D1) protein and is involved in the assembly and stabilization of OEC. Synonyms :PSBQ, PSBQA
