GSL I-B4 isolates contain only B subunits. It is a useful marker for endothelial cells in non-primates, such as mice, rats, rabbits, and goats, as well as for non-peptidenergic non-myelinated primary afferent neurons. This "B" -rich lectin preferentially agglutinates the blood group B cells and is specific for alpha-galactose residues. DyLight™649 GSL I-B4 isolates are produced by binding DyLight™649 to our affinity purified lectin through a special coupling procedure. The conjugate combines the appropriate amount of fluorescent dye to provide maximum fluorescence and optimal staining properties for this particular lectin. The reagent is essentially free of non-conjugated fluorescent dyes and inactive lectins.
