The Gluten Protein Rapid Kit is a qualitative immunochromatography lateral flow test used to screen for the presence of gluten residues in foods, ingredients, cleaning in situ (CIP) final rinse water, and environmental swabs.
The Gluten Protein Rapid Kit uses a lateral Flow device (LFD), an immunochromatogram test that utilizes a polyclonal antibody specifically designed to detect gluten in wheat, rye (secalins) and barley (hordeins) proteins. And has been shown to have no cross-reactivity with other varieties, including oat (avenins). Positive results are visualized by the presence of two lines; Test line and control line. The control line ensures that the test is working properly, and the test line indicates whether gluten is present in the sample until LOD is detected
