This antibody so far has been confirmed to detect recombinant FIE protein, GFP-tagged. Optimization of protein extraction and detection using most sensitive reagents may result in recognition of endogenous FIE.

Description

FIE(fertilization independent of endosperm) belongs to the polycomb group (PcG), whose role is to form multiprotein complexes that maintain transcriptional suppression of homologous genes throughout development. The PcG protein is not required to initiate inhibition, but to maintain it later in development.
