No confirmed exceptions from predicted reactivity are currently known

Additional information

Following processing MW of plant ferredoxins is around 12 kDa, However, due to a strong acidic nature, they migrate at 16 to 17 kDa

Description

Ferridoxin is an iron-thionein that transfers electrons in a variety of metabolic reactions. It plays a key role in the transfer of photoreducing capacity to Fd-NADP+ oxidoreductase (FNR) to form NADPH, and mediates the circulating electron flow around photosystem I (PSI).
