Application

High purity bromelain protease from pineapple stems for use in research, biochemical enzyme assays and in vitro diagnostic analysis.

Description

A cysteine endopeptidase with broad specificity for protein cleavage. One unit of activity is the amount of enzyme that produces 1µmol(181µg) of tyrosine equivalent from casein per minute at pH 7.0 and 40°C (using the Folin-Ciocalteu reagent to determine color).
