Description

Botulinum toxin is a toxin produced by bacteria of the anaerobic gram-positive clostridium genus (Clostridium botulinum, Clostridium butyricum, Clostridium barra, and Clostridium argentinae). These strains are widely distributed and can be found in soil and dust. There are eight types of botulinum toxin, called A-H types. Types A and B are capable of causing disease in humans (botulism) and are longest active in the body, and are also used commercially (botulism) and in medicine. The C-G type is less common; Types E and F can cause diseases in humans, while other types can cause diseases in other animals. Both are divided into two chains: the heavy chain and the light chain. Alternative name :Bontoxilysin-B
