Description

In phycobilisome (the light-harvesting antenna of red algae), B-phycoglobin consists of alpha and beta chains containing algal rhodochromophore (an open-chain tetracyclic, red). It is present in the chloroplasts of many red algae and is closely related to the pe of cyanobacteria and Cryptomonas.
