Description

Auxin transporter 1 (AUX1) is a carrier protein involved in proton-driven auxin flow. Synthesized in developing leaves and transported to leaf tips. Involved in lateral root formation, hair embryo polarization and root hair elongation. Necessary for geotropism and geotropism by regulating the response to auxin, ethylene and cytokinin. Ammonia-mediated root growth inhibition is required. Other names :AUX1, Auxin Resistance 1,WAV5, WAVY ROOTS 5, PIR1, MAP1, ARF7/NPH4 phenotype modifier 1, auxin in-flow carrier protein 1, polar auxin transport inhibitor-resistance protein 1.
