Description

Dynamin-like protein ARC5 may be a component of GTPase in plastid and peroxidase division mechanism. In the final stage of chloroplast division, especially in mesophyll cells, the separation of the daughter plasts is facilitated when the narrow isthmus is broken. It is necessary for peroxidase activity. Seems to affect the length and frequency of the stroma (stroma-filled tubular extension of the plasmic envelope).
