Datasheet:

Description

Garlic lectin (Allium sativum lecectin, ASA) is isolated from garlic. It is a dimer of two subunits. ASA binds to some α1-2 linked mannose residues. Lectins recognize internal mannose and bind to the core five sugars of N-chain glycans. In addition, the removal of sialic acid enhances the binding activity. ASA has anti-proliferation and apoptosis-inducing activities and is a relevant topic in cancer research. This product is freeze-dried and stable for more than three years when stored below -20°C.
