Datasheet:

Description

Affinity purified Agaricus bisporus lectin (ABA) is a tetramer of 2 ~ 4 isolins.ABA has two distinct carbohydrate binding sites, one for galactose- -1,3- n -acetylgalactosamine and the other for galactose-1,3- n -acetylglucosamine. Agaricus bisporus has an antiproliferative effect on cancer cells.ABA bound to surface glycoproteins can be internalized by lattice protein-encapsulated vesicles, thus making ABA an inhibitor of signal-dependent protein nuclear input. Horseradish peroxidase (HRP) is a 40 kDa protein that catalyzes the oxidation of substrates by hydrogen peroxide to produce colored or fluorescent products or release light as a byproduct of the reaction. It is most commonly used in blotting, immunoassays and immunohistochemical methods. Agaricus bisporus lectin (ABA) is coupled to HRP in the appropriate ratio to provide optimal staining properties.
