Additional information

Cross reactivity of this antibody to Rubisco has been excluded using 2D gel electrophoresis.Antigen used to elicit this antbody has very poor conservation in large subunit of ADP-glucose pyrophosphorylase.

Description

Adp-glucose pyrophosphorylase (AGPase) catalyzes the first step in transient starch synthesis in plant chloroplasts and starch storage in amylosomes (teflow et al., 2004). AGPase in higher plants consists of two distinct subunits, encoded by different genes, forming the L2S2 heterotetramer. The large subunit (L) is a regulator of allosteric activity, while the small subunit (S) is a catalytic subunit (Kim et al., 2007). Synonyms: ADP-glucose pyrophosphorylase, ADP-glucose synthetase, AGPase B, α-D-glucose-1-adenosine phosphate transferase
