Description
The 2b protein [Cucumber Mosaic virus] is one of the first inhibitors discovered capable of inhibiting post-transcriptional gene silencing (PTGS), but with little or no effect on miRNA function. The CMV 2b protein also interferes with the miRNA pathway, causing developmental abnormalities.
