Specific for barley 14,3,3C isoform, when tested against 14,3,3A, B and C isoforms
14.3.3's is a 30KDa protein involved in the interaction of the protein with a target protein containing a phosphorylated target. Functions of 14.3.3 include acting as a connector or scaffold, stimulating protein-protein interactions, altering target protein activity, causing conformational changes in target proteins, regulating subcellular localization, and facilitating transport (e.g. nuclear import/export and transport in the intima system). Various apparently unrelated biological activities, including roles in development and signal transduction, have been attributed to the 14.3.3 family. To date, five barley 14.3.3 homologues have been identified and identified and named 14.3.3a to E.
