Target Information
Target Name JAK1
Gene Abbr. JAK1
Gene ID 3716
Full Name Janus kinase 1
Alias AIIDE, JAK1A, JAK1B, JTK3
Introduction Members of the Janus family of tyrosine kinases (Jak1, Jak2, Jak3, and Tyk2) are activated by ligands binding to a number of associated cytokine receptors. Upon cytokine receptor activation, Jak proteins become autophosphorylated and phosphorylate their associated receptors to provide multiple binding sites for signaling proteins. These associated signaling proteins, such as Stats Shc insulin receptor substrates and focal adhesion kinase (FAK) typically contain SH2 or other phospho-tyrosine-binding domains.
Product Details
Host Rabbit
Clonality Monoclonal
Clone No. D7N4Z
Immunogen Synthetic phospho-peptide corresponding to residues surrounding Tyr1034/1035 of human Jak1 protein.
Source/Purification Antibody is produced by immunizing animals with a synthetic phospho-peptide corresponding to residues surrounding Tyr1034/1035 of human Jak1 protein.
Usage
Application WB
Dilutions Western Blot (1:1000)
MW(KDa) 130
Reactivity Human, Mouse
Sensitivity Endogenous
Specificity It recognizes endogenous levels of Jak1 protein only when phosphorylated at Tyr1034/1035. This antibody also detects Jak1 when phosphorylated at just Tyr1034. Human Jak1 residues Tyr1034 and Tyr1035 historically have been referenced as Tyr1022 and Tyr1023.
