Description
133bp deletion
Target Information
Target Name INPP5K
Gene Abbr. INPP5K
Gene ID 51763
Full Name inositol polyphosphate-5-phosphatase K
Alias MDCCAID, PPS, SKIP
Species Human
Genomic Locus chr17:1509305
Transcript NM_016532
WT Expression Level 24.39 TPM (TPM = Transcripts per million; any value less than 3 is considered non-expressing)
Introduction This gene encodes a protein with 5-phosphatase activity toward polyphosphate inositol. The protein localizes to the cytosol in regions lacking actin stress fibers. It is thought that this protein may negatively regulate the actin cytoskeleton. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
